Ring Size Guide

Ring Size Guide

Getting your ring size right is the single most important step before ordering. Rings can be resized by a jeweller, but starting with the correct size saves time and avoids unnecessary work on a new piece. Here's everything you need to measure accurately at home.

UK Ring Size Chart

All Qutahia rings use UK alphabetical sizing (J through U). Find your size below using the inner diameter or circumference of an existing ring, or by measuring your finger directly.

UK Size Inner Diameter (mm) Inner Circumference (mm)
J 15.9 49.9
K 16.3 51.2
L 16.7 52.5
M 17.1 53.8
N 17.5 55.1
O 17.9 56.3
P 18.4 57.6
Q 18.8 58.9
R 19.2 60.2
S 19.6 61.5
T 20.0 62.8
U 20.4 64.1

How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

Method 1 — Use an existing ring

This is the most accurate home method. Take a ring that fits the correct finger and measure the inside diameter with a ruler. Match that measurement to the chart above.

Method 2 — Measure your finger

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string approximately 10cm long.
  2. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you intend to wear the ring on.
  3. Mark or pinch the point where the paper meets itself.
  4. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres — this is your inner circumference.
  5. Match that number to the circumference column in the chart above.

Important Tips

  • Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are slightly larger in the evening due to natural swelling from warmth and activity. A ring sized in the morning may feel tight by evening.
  • Avoid measuring when cold. Cold temperatures cause fingers to shrink. If your hands are cold, warm them first.
  • Check the knuckle. If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, size up and choose a ring style with a slight taper — it will pass the knuckle but sit snugly at the base.
  • Wider bands fit tighter. A wide band (over 5mm) sits higher on the finger and will feel tighter than a slim band of the same size. If ordering a wider band, consider going half a size up.

Need a Size Outside J–U?

We offer bespoke sizing for fingers outside the J–U range. When placing your order, select "Other (please specify)" from the ring size dropdown and enter your size — either a UK letter, a US number, or a circumference in millimetres. Our team will contact you to confirm before production begins.
